Heavenly Valley

One of my favorite spots, the Tunnel View at sunset. Elcapitan on the left, Half Dome in far center, 'Three Brothers' on the right, Bridal Veil Falls providing drama, and the lush valley floor. I stayed here for 2 hours and watched the clouds roll in and out. Fog finally built up and blanket the valley. Yosemite National Park, CA. Reflections

Solid Cold

One of my favorite views at Yosemite, the Tunnel View, captured Dec. 2015 - day after a snow fall - I absolutely love the snow sprinkled pines on the valley floor. This was a challenging shot due to shadows in the valley. This final image is a composite of 5 images exposed for different areas of the frame. Boulder Candy

Low water levels of Merced river reveal boulders and make for an interesting foreground with Elcapitan glowing in the early sunset light. With the record rain fall of 2016, all these boulders are now under 2 feet of water. Fern Springs

Fern Springs. One of my favorite spots to stop and get a drink. Small natural spring near the Pohono bridge driving into the Yosemite Valley, it flows into the Merced river. You'll miss it if you blink at the wrong time. Very cold and very refreshing water. The 'water fall' is only about 12 inches tall, but drops beautifully creating a nice cascade. Face Value

A dusting of fresh snow on Half Dome moments after a snow fall. The snow fall and cloudy weather cleared with-in minutes to reveal one of my favorite granite structures.

Misty Valley

If you wait long enough after the sunset, the fog thickens and takes over the valley. Fog starts to rise up and cover the bridalveil falls.
