Snow Melt

En route to Nubra Valley in the Ladhak Region, Himalayas Range, we stopped for a bio break and a short walk away was this magnificent view was waiting for me. Pristine snow melt and deep blue skies took my breath away. Ladhak region is full of these gems. I left the rusted tin can in the frame as an unfortunate reminder of man’s neglect of our natural world. Maitreya Buddha

According to Buddhist tradition, Maitreya is a reincarnation of current Buddha who will appear on Earth in the future, achieve complete enlightenment, and teach the pure dharma. The prophecy of the arrival of Maitreya refers to a time in the future when the dharma will have been forgotten by most on the terrestrial world. Khardungla Pass - Highest motor able road in the world

As we arrived at Khardungla Pass (17,582 ft) Ladhak, I noticed heavy rain in the distance and captured this dramatic BW image. Streaks and patches of snow high light this range well.
