Golden Gate

The Bay Area icon on a very cold late December morning. A warm orange glow surrounds the sleeping city, and complements the bridge nicely . This image was taken about an hour before sunrise to take advantage of the soft light shinning up at the horizon. Golden Gate bridge is one the most photographed location in the US, but I never get tired of visiting and viewing it from different angles. Maitreya Buddha

According to Buddhist tradition, Maitreya is a reincarnation of current Buddha who will appear on Earth in the future, achieve complete enlightenment, and teach the pure dharma. The prophecy of the arrival of Maitreya refers to a time in the future when the dharma will have been forgotten by most on the terrestrial world. This 106 ft. tall statue is next to Diskit Monastery, the largest in Northern India. Nubra Valley. Ladhak Region, Himalayas Range.

The Oriental Pearl Radio & TV Tower in Shanghai China. One of the most dazzling functional structures in the skyline.
